Is it April yet?
Greetings from Fort Knox. I am up here for a few more days, conducting training as usual. For the first day, it was kind of nice to get away, rest, see a movie (By the way, MIAMI VICE rocks!) But now, I am faced with utter boredom and misery. I miss my girls and my woman. I miss the noise, chaos, silliness, and utterly engrossing femeninity that is my home. It's funny what you get used to. I use to see these trips as a chance to enjoy my masculinity while playing with guns, demo, etc. But now, I seem to prefer the exact thing I thought I needed periodic breaks from. Actually, I think my masculinity rather stands out when I'm surrounded by all those females. Even if they think I am a stinky, hairy, gross boy. I do wish sometimes, though, that majority didn't always rule.....ha, ha!
So, I guess I missed Delaney's first day of school, again. Sorry about that, Bug. But at least I am not gone for the whole first month. It could, and has, been worse. Also, I should be home before Sophia does anything spectacular, as far as developmental milestones. And hopefully, I will be home before any of them gets sick, which is what usually happens when I leave.
I started my thesis. My original topic got thrown out, due to "lack of meat". I am now writing it on explosive microtaggants and whether or not they help to deter terrorists from making IED's and other bombs. Pretty interesting, considering my background. I am just ready to get it behind me. If it would go by faster, I'd write it on the political merit of and value of the Dixie Chicks. (That's a pretty profound statement, if you witnessed the Dixie Chick argument and Keri and Chad's.....ha,ha.)
Peace out party peeps!
