Can someone give the Tigers a little credit, please?
I am getting sick and, damn tired of sports analysts not doing their homework. All any of those idiots could talk about was why Texas didn't play better against Ohio. No one said a word about LSU STOMPING a respected Pac-10 team, Arizona. (Kirk Homostreit was especially quiet) It was evident that these guys don't even pay attention to what the SEC is producing, because the SEC teams that lost all dropped out of the rankings, but the teams that won moved up one spot or stayed where they were the previous week.
And will someone please tell me how USC moves to No. 2 when they didn't even play a freakin' game this week?!?! The fact that all broadcasting is based out of New York and L.A. is the only reason we don't have more SEC teams in the top 5. That and maybe because none of the "powerhouses" like USC have the balls to play a decent SEC team during their season. (Sorry, I don't consider Arkansas much of a threat this year) They play weak teams all season long, then play one good team at the end of their season, after they have gelled and have their momentum. All they have to worry about then is the championship game.
I will give it to Ohio State though, they looked good for this early in the season, but I sincerely think LSU could have beaten them this weekend. Their defense looked awesome, especially their corners, which is what beat Texas. Justin Vincent and Jacob Hester were amazing, and when Ali Broussard is 100%, their just gonna be scary.
I know that they need to beat Auburn to have a legitimate argument for national champion consideration. But when, yes I said when, they beat Auburn next week, I better hear something come outta Kirk Homostreit's mouth, other than USC butt-kissin'. That's all I got to say about that!
Anyway, we had fun at Angie's family reunion. 109 people attended. I found it funny that Angie only knew 20%, but I guess that's how it is when your family is extended all over the midwest. The kids had fun, and it was nice to stretch the trip over 7 days, because the 12 hour drive to and from was miserable. We actually got to relax and visit with Angie's immediate family without feeling rushed.
Talk to ya'll next week during my win over Auburn celebration post!
