Brote Foot

Hey everybody!

I decided to start this blog thing, finally. Today was a long day. I had to go to the hospital at Keesler, to get a bone scan. For two years, I've been putting up with this pain in my foot. The Doc at my command said, "Hey Dummy! Go get a bone scan, and let's see what's wrong." I told him I would have a long time ago, but Medical in San Diego said there was nothing wring with me, and to just take Motrin.

Well, it turns out I have a stress fracture that I've been running on for two years. The Doc said he was surprised that the bone didn't break all together. I thought, "Great! I could have a broke foot and an ulcer from all the Motrin, because there was "nothing wrong with me". That's Navy medicine for you. No wonder the health insurance is so cheap.

THEN.....when I got home, I received the wonderful news that my beautiful, HUGE oak tree in my front yard has died and I have to pay to have it taken down. It's not covered in the home warranty. If I'd known that, I would have had the builder take down every tree in the yard before I moved in. Oh, yeah! The estimate I got to have it removed.....$1800.00!

Bull&*%# ! I'll drink some beers, climb up there in a thong, and cut it down myself with a Leatherman, before I pay $1800.00!

Luckily, my builder said he would pay part of it and he would have someone he knows cut it down for much less.

Anyway that was my day. Not a great one for my first real entry, but it was interesting anyway.

Oh yeah! I did talk to my bro, CO-BY, today. It's been too long since we talked, but today was appropriate, wasn't it CO-BY.

Anyway, I hope to find the time to make this a regular thing. By the way, happy 420 day!

Later
