Slow summer, I hope.
I just got back from Ft. Hood, TX. I was there for a month, teaching Land Nav, Small Arms, and Heavy Weps. If you have the means, I highly recommend a vacation to Kileen, TX. What a hotspot! There was so much to do there........that I'm freakin' braindead now!
I know people get tired of Angie and I bitching about me being gone so much, but jeez, you'd think SBT-22 could find more exciting places to train than some hot, dry, flat, boring, God-forsaken place like Kileen.
Anyway, enough of that.
We are enjoying the Summer these days, despite the heat. I could feed a small country with what I'm spending on water for my lawn these days. I found out that I have to water every day or Rosie's piss kills the grass. If you know me and how I feel about my yard, it won't surprise you to hear that I'm considering having Rosie wear a doggie diaper until she can learn to piss on the fence or in a corner of the yard. The yard is looking nice, though. Mom did a walkabout last weekend and brought us all kinds of trees. Once I get everything planted, all I'll need is a swimming pool to go with them.
Father's day is this weekend, and boy, I wish I was at the CWS this weekend. It would be nice to catch a few games with Dad, but it wasn't in the cards this year....or in the bank account. Next year definitely, no excuses.
Delaney asked me what I wanted to do for Father's day. I said what do you mean? She said, "Do you want to go someplace special, like Chuck-E-Cheese?" You gotta hand it to her; she's pretty slick sometimes.
I am going to have to cut this one short. The $20 futon is giving Angie a $100 ass-whippin'. Super-Dad to the rescue!

I'll be right there with you at CWS next year. We'll have to show them old guys how to drink.
